This guide will go through the process of running ParetoWorks for the first time; ensuring that the necessary add-ins are loaded. This guide assumes that you’ve installed ParetoWorks with the provided executable and have SolidWorks up and running.
Activating necessary add-ins
In SolidWorks, click on the Tools drop down menu, then select Add-ins… (Figure 1). This will open the Add-ins… window
In the Add-ins… window, check both boxes to activate the add-in and to activate on start up for BufferSwapNotify and ParetoWorks (Figure 2)
In order to start ParetoWorks within SolidWorks, you must have a SolidWorks part file open. Then, click on the Tools drop down menu. Within that menu, you will find a ParetoWorks submenu with the Setup option (Figure 3). Click on Setup, and you will be ready to start working with ParetoWorks. When complete, SolidWorks should look similar to the image in Figure 4.
